Job Summary
The Strategic Project Manager - Office of the CEO plays a pivotal role in ensuring the CEO’s vision and priorities are translated into action across the organization. This role combines strategic project leadership, internal and external communications, and executive support. The Strategic Project Manager will lead special projects and initiatives from ideation through execution, coordinate across departments, and represent the CEO in internal and external engagements. While executive and administrative support (including calendar management) is part of the role.
This is a unique opportunity for a business-minded professional with strong writing, organizational, and leadership skills to work directly with the CEO to drive impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Project Leadership
● Lead the development and execution of key strategic initiatives and special projects for the CEO.
● Work cross-functionally with departments and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation.
● Research, draft, and prepare high-quality proposals, briefs, presentations, and reports.
● Monitor progress on CEO-led priorities and ensure follow-up and accountability across teams.
● Represent the CEO in meetings and manage relationships with internal and external partners.
● Analyze business opportunities and risks and provide recommendations to inform CEO decision-making.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
● Minimum 5 years of experience in related areas and roles.
● Strong writing and communication skills, with demonstrated experience in proposal and report writing.
● Ability to independently manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
● High level of business acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically.
● Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence across levels and functions.
● Capacity to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
● Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
● Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MPA) a plus.
● Both Amharic and English language proficiency is mandatory (written and oral).
