The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and maintaining a deep understanding of market trends in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. The job holder is often the first point of contact to a new potential client when they are seeking information.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, business opportunities, market trends and competitive landscape through networking, referrals and industry event
• Look for RFQs opportunities on different sites and follow up on submissions
• Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
• Analyze data and insights to develop targeted business development strategies and differentiation.
• Develop and implement a strategic new business development plan to achieve revenue targets
• Developing goals for business growth and ensuring they are met
• Cultivating positive interactions and relationships with old and new clients to seek ways to improve the company performance, drive growth, and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, i.e Account management, Zmart, BTL, Creative, Digital, Production and Media to cross sale and develop new markets and improving revenue, by identifying proactive pitches, develop tailored proposals and presentations that address client needs and objectives.
• Refining our proposal templates, Custodian of company credentials and making sure they are updated
• Developing quotes and proposals for clients
• Lead client meetings, pitches, and presentations, effectively communicating the agency's value proposition and differentiating factors.
• Negotiate and close new business deals and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and long-term partnerships.
• To strategize and organize memorable and fruitful annual and quarterly events with our clients
• Prepare regular reports maintain the bids tracker with all the submitted bids, status and feedback
• Analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision making
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
• 2 years of experience in account services, marketing or related field.
• Experience in business development
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills (both English and Amharic).
• Ability to manage complex projects and multitask.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Hands on experience of handling MS Office.
• Good presentation and pitching skills to sign up clients
