JOB SUMMARY
Senior General Accountant is responsible for the accuracy of the Company’s tax accounts and ensures that they are not misstated in its financial books. He/she is also responsible for preparation of weekly, monthly, quarter and annual reports.
MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
- Generates trade receivable aging report
- Review the estimated amount of bad debt expense with the trade A/R aging report. Decide whether the estimate is reasonable.
- Maintain fixed asset register book and follow up for addition and deletion
- Analyze the impact of the expenditure on the asset and put the expenditure as Expense or PPE
- Allocate amortization charges (expenses) to business units/departments as appropriate. `
- Perform physical count to confirm existence, conditions and proper coding with the counting team.
- Review purchase payment documents and code and record in the financial system
- Analyze data and prepare Staff Advance for Business Report detailing total advance expenditure by staff, department and cost item
- Review reports and ensure completeness, accuracy, reasonableness of approvals and accuracy of computations and approve staff business advance reports.
- Review each transaction and reconcile sister (related) party statement to spot any error
- Prepare an Accrual Schedule to include services and expense types which typically do not have Purchase orders
- Review the standard period-end closing checklist and ensure all checklist items, including accruals, prepayments, etc. have been completed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- BA degree in Accounting or Finance. MA is a Plus
- Training and experience on IFRS
- Detail oriented and organizational skills
- Knowledge of accounting software (Peachtree, QuickBooks etc.)
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related functions.
- Experience on internal and external audit practices
- Experience on income tax rules and regulations.
